Hi Virginia, here is a breakdown on continuing education credits: CME is an acronym for Continuing Medical Education which is for physicians. ASCP uses the term CMLE for continuing medical laboratory education for laboratory professionals. CMLE is calculated on clock hours as are P.A.C.E. contact hours. CEU stands for Continuing Education Unit. One contact hours is earned for a program lasting at least 50 minutes. It takes 10 clock hours or 10 contact hours to equal 1 CEU. So a 1.0 contact hour Learning Scope exam is 0.1 CEU.

As a phlebotomist, you do not need CME. You should need CEUs or contact hours such as the Learning Scope quizzes provide.

In my state of WV, a phlebotomist must have
10 continuing medical education units in order
for my certificate to remain current.
Can you tell me if ADVANCE can help with this.
By taking tests or quizzes from your trade journal
magazine, To earn CME's.
I'm new at this any information you can give would
be helpful.
Thank you
Virginia
