March is Women's History Month, and the theme for 2013 is "Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination" to celebrate women's achievements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Women have forged many outstanding contributions in medicine, yet too few have reached the highest ranks of healthcare leadership.  Although women make up 73 percent of medical and health services managers, they compose only 4 percent of healthcare company CEOs, according to the recent Women in Healthcare Report by Rock Health.

In honor of Women's History Month, ADVANCE  asked female healthcare executives to share their lessons learned and words of encouragement to inspire other women to recognize their power to transform their careers, workplaces, and communities.
