with the concepts of toxic changes and the focus
provided by the two photomicrographs. May I also
suggest the following additional lab. tests to be
included, viz.:- Urinary Antigen Tests, ESR,
platelet count, C- Reactive Protein, and Blood
Culture Tests.

The observations and advice given are helpful but it must be noted that granulocyte morphology deteriorates rapidly on storage in EDTA therefore the blood film must be prepared without delay, otherwise vacuolated cytoplasm and pyknotic nuclei may confuse the inexperienced microscopist.
